WHO WE ARE:
We are Whatcom County's wing of the Deep Green resistance, working towards a true sustainability that comes from dismantling the destructive systems and habits of our civilization and living in accord with the place we call home.
GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
1. Everyone is entitled to clean air, clean water, and a healthy land base.
2. We are reclaiming liberties and the ability to determine our own destinies.
3. We work to abolish the political and cultural systems that have gradually enslaved us.
4. We work to ensure the survival of all life by protecting our bio-region, on which humans and non-humans are dependent. This includes stopping modern-day resource extraction, be it of minerals or lives.
5. We work to grow local, land-based economies where we reject fossil fuel, and where people's needs are met within their community.
6. We believe defensive use of force may be warranted, especially when action has been taken against one's local landbase.
7. We acknowledge that a transformation needs to happen in as timely a manner as possible, and we measure success by the outcomes of our work.
8. In order for all of these changes to come to fruition, we must actively build a culture of resistance, acting not only as individuals, but as a whole.

GOALS:
Deep Green Whatcom is working to form a community of resistance against industrial exploitation, and all facets thereof. This way of life is poisoning our minds, land, water, and air, and will leave a wasteland for future generations. We seek to foster the autonomy of Bellingham and the surrounding county. While building a community which is aware of these issues and wishes to live in truly sustainable ways. We also acknowledge the need for an active movement working to dismantle the industrial and cultural systems perpetuating these injustices. As an above-ground organization, we strive to be the voice for individuals who choose a more clandestine path.
